Netflix Release First Trailer for Marvel’s Defenders

When it comes to successful cinematic universes, Marvel has been setting the trend and expanding their roster of characters on the big screen. But while they may not have started the same trend on the small screen, since 2013 their TV ambitions have been to expand similar to the movies. And four years later the shared TV spin-off world is about to stand firmly on its own with the release of The Defenders, which fans can finally get a sneak peek into with the recently released trailer.

The Defenders are Netflix and Marvel’s culmination of their four popular characters that have had their own screen time over the past two years; Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Since the announcement back in 2013, fans hype for their beloved characters has been entrusted in Netflix to allow a grittier, darker world to evolve underneath the noses of Captain America and Iron Man. The reception to the individual shows has varied between excellent to mediocre, but all the while satisfying for true Marvel fans to watch. The climax of the hype however has been anticipating the arrival of all four characters on screen simultaneously, as they team up to save New York from its greatest underworld threat yet.

Marvel’s The Defenders drops on Netflix on August 18th. Daredevil Season 1 and 2, Jessica Jones Season 1, Luke Cage Season 1 and Iron Fist Season 1 are all currently available to watch.
