SPFX Make-up: Groot - Guardians of the Galaxy Tutorial

For our TV module, we had to come up with a 'how to' section as a part of the show. We decided to use my skills as a makeup artist to create a short makeup tutorial. We chose to focus on the character 'Groot' from the popular film Guardians of the Galaxy, as volume two has just come out in the Cinema and we thought that this would fit in perfectly with our 'Nerd' theme. As a team, we each contributed a bit of money in order to buy all of the makeup needed for this tutorial, this included: Liquid latex Flour Card Cream paints (Colours: Greens, Browns and Greys) Contact lenses Twigs, leaves and foliage Foundation Concealer Eyeshadow (Colours: Browns) Glitter glue Glitter pigment Mascara Lipstick (Colour: pink)

We decided to make the video itself around one minute long, as we wanted to make sure everything fitted well into our ten-minute slot. Our director Jake both edited and did the voice over for this tutorial, as we thought his comedy would bring the entertainment factor to this video. Pelagia was the person in charge of filming all of the behind the scenes footage of the makeup tutorial and also helped edit the final video.

It took 24 hours of preparation work overall for the tutorial, which took three hours to film in total.
